Textile Artist and Maker Janet Twinn and Artist, Designer and Maker Kas Williams share their work made in response to INTERWOVEN at South Hill Park.
LET THE SUN SHINE IN
'Let the Sun Shine In' is my response to the outside space at South Hill Park. It is a textile wall hanging made from my screen printed fabric.
I wanted to make an artwork that would create a joyful experience echoing the pleasure that visitors would feel as Spring gives way to Summer. Landscape both wild and formal has been a constant theme in my work.
My recent work has been concerned with the cycle of the seasons exploring it through its changing colours and textures.

ALL THAT JAZZ
Kas is an artist, designer and maker with a Masters Distinction in Textiles. Her experimental approach towards making creates a visual vocabulary that she expresses across multiple mediums. Colour and music are common threads that run throughout and often work together.
"I find a lyrical energy and exuberance in colour that is very seductive and how the layering of colour shade and pattern resonates with the way sound tone and texture are layered to create music".
Her sophisticated artworks have been exhibited widely in the UK and Internationally.
